Only On 8 tonight - A Pittsford mom has become a youtube sensation. Her son and his friends are launching an energy drink and played quite the prank -- wait until you see what happens.
"I think who is that person? I can't believe that's me," said Mary Joseph.
Mary is a patient mother. After college her son Michael moved home with dreams of starting his own beverage company.
"I said ok, I'll be supportive for two years. You can come home. We will provide for you," said Mary.
"I kindly asked my parents if we can we store 20,000 drinks in your basement and lug them up and down stairs every month and try to sell them to stores," said her son Michael.
Mary obliged, but had no idea what was in store.
"We decided we were going to pull a prank. We thought my dad would flip out, we'd get a really great reaction because he's eccentric, but we got something totally different," said Michael.
"We have 26,000 of these drinks in my house right now. My mom hates when they're on the first floor," said Michael in the youtube video.
Mary and her husband were returning from vacation when they found the family room, living room, dining room, even the china cabinet filled with energy drinks. Mary's reaction speaks for itself.
"I can't take it! I can't take it! I can't take it! I can't take!" Mary can be heard screaming in the video.
"All I saw were energy drinks, everywhere. Floor to ceiling, every single room," she said.
What Mike didn't know is his parents probably could have used one of his energy drinks. They had been up 24 hours and their flight home had been delayed twice.
Not to mention, Mike had told his parents he was to busy to pick them up at the airport.
"How much more does this kid want from me? He's too busy to pick us up from the airport. So I'm really ready to have it out with him," said Mary.
"How could you be so disrespectful, I worked my whole life for this. I worked my whole life for this," she yells at Mike in the video.
"I'm just not a yeller and a screamer, but once I got started it was starting to feel so good," she said.
The youtube video has more than 200,000 hits and their energy drink is taking off. That's welcome news for mom, Mary.
"I'm thinking that they better sell a lot of drinks and that they make a success of their business and Mike moves out of my house," she said.
